The beginning
of duck season got off to a promising start. The warm weather and
lack of rain made it difficult for many hunters and the waterfowl.
Pintail Farms kept the wells running to help with the lack of rain,
but nothing could be done about the above normal temps.
Duck hunters all around reported how bad the first half of duck season
had been, with some only getting a days limit after several days
hunting. The hunters at Pintail Farms almost always bagged their
limit.
Thanksgiving weekend brought in the first strong cold front of the
season, and along with the cold and rain came the ducks, making for
a great hunting weekend. We are looking forward to much better hunting
during the second half of the season.
