| The 2008 Duck Season has officially started. Here are Mike Jolley's first reports:
" Nov 8 is the first field report of the season, we planted 2000 pounds of millet and it was doing good, then it decides that it is not going to rain. Now the wells are running and we have 2 impoundments almost full The ducks are just now showing up. We now have 35 acres of flooded timber across the road as you can see from these pictures I took. It has finally started raining, so the next pictures that area should be full of water. This should be a great year for Mallard hunting, the last couple of years the fields were half eaten out by the time big push of Mallards showed up, so its looking good for this hunting season. Hope everyone has a safe year and lets hunt."
"Field report Nov. 11: We had 3 inches of rain last night and the birds are pouring into the fields as I speak, Pepe said he has seen all kinds of different ducks plus snow and canada geese. It looks like this should be a great weekend when this front comes through."
Pintail Farms is hard at work improving the property for the enjoyment of our hunters and benefiting the waterfowl that come through our area. Below you will find some pictures of the new waterfowl area.
