| Weekend Report |
| The
weather was very warm this past weekend. The ducks were leaving
in the morning
and not coming back until after dark. Friday was good with the
wind but Saturday and Sunday were slow and hot with no wind. With
the
lack of ducks on Friday, deer hunting was the plan. According to
Mike Jolley; "We saw some really nice bucks, but even they
stopped moving with the heat."
According to the weather service a strong cold front will plow
through North Texas on Wednesday. This will bring to an end the
above normal temperatures. Wind chill readings will be in the mid
20s on Thanksgiving day. The cold weather will extend through the
remainder of the holiday weekend and may result in a freeze Friday
morning. This cold weather should bring the waterfowl in tremendous
amounts and make for great hunting.
We hope you enjoy the pictures and will come back every week
to check out the weekly Field
Reports, and Harvest
Board.

| Weekly
Migratory Bird Hunting Report from Texas Parks and Wildlife (North
Texas Region) |
"Despite
warm conditions, hunters in Northeast Texas have fared well on lakes
and reservoirs. The region needs rain to fill sloughs and creeks
littered with acorns. North Texas has not seen significant rainfall
in over two months. Gadwalls, teal and spoonies have made up the
brunt of the bag. Those hunting wooded areas have taken their limit
of wood ducks early. Prospects are fair to good.."

Make sure
and visit our "2007-2008
Waterfowl Harvest Board" for an updated count as we go through
waterfowl hunting season. We will be updating the Field
Reports on a weekly basis, and Photo
Gallery on a monthly basis. If you haven't seen our "Duck
Man" video yet... you really should take a few minutes there.
The video footage was shot at Pintail Farms last year and the music
is great.
