| Hunting
Report - November 24 - 30, 2006 |
Despite
warm weather, Pintail Farms had a great first half of duck season.
In the last weekend hunters were still getting their limits of mallards,
gadwalls, teal, and divers. Thursday morning we had only 3 hunters
and they were all done by 8 AM. We're still holding a lot of
birds at night, and they trickle back all day long.
We are in the seasonal break now, but looking forward at the 10 day
weather forecast, we will be seeing the strongest cold front of the
season blow in on Wednesday, the 29th. After that, we should see
highs in the 40's and 50's and lows in the 20's
and 30's every day through out the extended outlook. During
that time we should also see five days of rain and thunderstorms,
setting the stage for the second half of a tremendous duck hunting
season.
We have several more great hunting pictures for you this week. Mike Jolley's
son, Chris, is the featured hunter of the week, displaying his avid
skills as both hog and bird hunter.
