Field Report - Pintail Farms - November 3 - 9, 2006
Hunting Report - November 3-9, 2006
Opening weekend at Pintail Farms couldn't have been any better. Saturday, for as warm as it was, the birds were everywhere. Almost everyone had their limit by 9:00. A couple of youngsters getting there first ducks made for a great opening day.

Sunday was a little warmer (not a very "duckie" day), but still birds were everywhere. Some groups were done in 15 minutes and had a good mix of birds; mallards, pintails, wigeon, gadwalls, blue and greenwing teal, redheads and woodducks.

Some of the fields have so much millet and smartweed its hard to walk through and the ducks are loving it.

Mike continues to say; "I think its going to be the best season North Texas has seen in a long time."

You will also want to note that we have added a "Harvest Report" to our website, so that everyone can easily keep a tally on this season's harvest at Pintail Farms.
