Waterfowl Conservation and Hunting

Pintail Farms is truly a place where Conservation and Hunting come together. A great deal of effort from the public and private sectors are required for conservation of any species. Many people don’t realize just how much hunters contribute to conservation and preservation endeavors.

For anyone interested in Duck and Waterfowl Conservation we recommend you visit the Ducks Unlimited Website. We also highly recommend initiatives such as the Texas Wetlands Reserve Program. Eighteen States in the US have Wetlands Reserve Programs. For your convenience we have provided those links at the bottom of this page.

More Birds Than Ever Before

In the past few days we have had one of our strongest cold fronts this season. You will be amazed at the duck pictures we have for you this week. It's becoming harder to tell whether Mike Jolley is a better shot behind a gun or a camera.

Make sure and visit our new Photo Galleries. The most recent is the November 2006 Photo Gallery.

North Texas Duck Season opens back up on December 9th, 2006.

We hope you join us.

A Special Thanks from Pintail Farms Management
"Well it has taken 6 years to put everything together at Pintail Farms and as you can see from the pictures, we are there. With all the water we have and with a little help from mother nature we are holding up to 20,000 birds at night, and its a sight to see.

I was trying to deer hunt this morning (Dec 4, 2006) but it was hard to hear anything with all the ducks making so much noise. Some of these pictures were taken out of one of our deer blinds. There are ducks spread out like this all over Pintail Farms.

I would like to thank everyone that has had a hand in putting Pintail Farms together over the years. I would start with names but there are too many to mention. It sure is nice to walk out on the back deck and watch thousands of ducks falling out of the sky to get into something we have built for them.

I hope everyone has a great season and keep safety in mind at all times. Just remember we're doing this for our children!!!

We built it and they have come.”

Thanks,
Mike Jolley
