| "Welcome to the 2009-2010 hunting season at Pintail Farms. As in the past we have been busy making improvements in the off season. This year we’ve added 5 new “Duck Holes” in the club’s wooded areas.
We have also added a new hunting membership package we call the “Hunting Only Membership”, which local hunters may find suits their hunting needs better while being more affordable. This package excludes lodge usage but maintains membership to the most exciting waterfowl hunting in North Texas.
This hunting season is shaping up very well. We’ve had a great deal of rain in the past months and the lakes are full. Millet and Smartweed are everywhere and we are already seeing Blue Teal come in. This has been one of the wettest seasons on record and we are ready for a great hunting season. The new “Timber Holes” are full. We hope you can join us in what is shaping up to be a fantastic waterfowl hunting season this year.
On a sad note; one of our friends and long time contributor to “Ducks Unlimited”; Philip Schoeneck, recently lost his wife to cancer. We mourn her loss and extend our thoughts, prayers and best wishes to Philip and his family.
During the off season some of us went hunting in Uruguay and all I can say is “WOW”, 4 of us went through 52 cases of shells in 5 days. There are so many birds in Uruguay, there’s no way to describe how good it really was. We have posted a few pictures below.
Dove season will be starting soon and many of us will be bringing in “greenhorns”, new hunters on board, so it’s time to remind everyone to be aware of gun safety and to pass it on to the newbie hunters you bring on board. Every hunting accident is not only tragic, but one too many.
At Pintail Farms we do everything we can to provide habitat for migrating waterfowl but we also provide what we believe is the best North Texas Waterfowl hunting available. Come and join us this year. We are anticipating one of the best hunting seasons on record.
Thanks
Mike Jolley"
